Arts ‘n Autism moving into its own building

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) — Blue ribbons are often used to signify autism awareness. New numbers estimate that one in 68 children in the United States have the disorder.

On Tuesday, a Tuscaloosa nonprofit organization is celebrating the strides that have been made to help them.

Music and bubbles made for a big ribbon cutting for Arts ‘n Autism in Tuscaloosa.

After ten years, the after school program and camp is finally moving into its own building.

The program has moved around a lot since the church where it was housed sustained damage in the April 2011 tornadoes.
