WALKER COIUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) — Walker County is working overtime to make sure all of its weather sirens are working.

In February, CBS42 reported that only 14 of 45 sirens in Walker County were functioning properly.

Several stopped working because someone stole the copper wiring out of them.

Since then, a number of repairs have been made to sirens in the county.

Thirty-three sirens have been repaired as of Wednesday.

The county is still waiting on parts toe repair the remaining 12.
