BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Instead of going up, one building in Birmingham is coming down.
Crews began demolishing the old Adams Inn on 3rd Avenue on Wednesday.
The building was condemned in 2010.
In February, a fire tore through the building, killing a homeless man.
The city is paying Swanson Enterprises nearly $267,000 to knock it down.
