After the rain moves out this evening there will be brief clearing and temps will have a chance to cool down into the 40s for all of our area on Saturday morning. The clear skies will be short lived as cloud cover continues to build into the area starting out as high clouds and later lower clouds will start to fill in.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — As high school graduations near, many parents are wondering how they’re going to pay for their child’s education.

Financial aid is an option that many families end up considering.

However, in order to be considered for financial aid, parents and prospective students need to fill out the FAFSA form.

High school seniors can fill out the form at one of two financial aid workshops that will be held in Birmingham this week.

Those who fill out the form will be considered for federal or state grants, loans and scholarships at most two or four-year schools.

The workshops will be held Thursday and Saturday at Southside Baptist Church on 19th Street South.

Workshops will be held April 3 from 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturday, April 5 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
