Group holds candlelight vigil for child abuse victims

CULLMAN, Ala. (WIAT) — Child abuse is a problem across the country. Recently, it made big news in Cullman with the death of a baby from child abuse.

Wednesday evening, Cullman’s Caring For Kids  held a candlelight vigil in memory of 32 children killed in 2013 from child abuse.

Organizers say the death of 1-year-old Hoss Benham is a wakeup call.

Later in April there will be another rally and a march from the Cullman County Courthouse to Depot Park.
