BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Many Americans are not starting the day off with eating something healthy, which gets their whole day off on the wrong foot.
During busy mornings, it’s easy to let breakfast fall low on your priority list. But, taking just a few minutes to eat something healthy can make a major difference to your day. Experts suggest ditching the cereal, sweets, and fast food, and choosing healthier items, like: yogurt, boiled eggs, string cheese, cottage cheese, chicken salad, even a vegetable egg omelet. Add fresh fruit, while dipping it in peanut butter, and you’re on your way to a healthy breakfast!

Experts say, skipping breakfast as an attempt to lose weight is a big mistake. Research shows you’ll actually gain weight if you regularly skip breakfast, because you’ll end up over-eating at meals later in the day.
