Police identify victim of Tuesday afternoon shooting in B’ham



BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Birmingham police have identified the man killed in a Tuesday afternoon shooting.

James Redmond, 27, was shot several times and killed, according to the Jefferson County Coroner.

Shots rang out on 32nd Place North around 2 p.m. Tuesday.

When police arrived, they found Redmond on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

He was taken to the hospital where he later died.

Police ask that anyone who knows who pulled the trigger call Crime Stoppers at (205) 254-7777.

Those who provide tips can remain anonymous.
