Despite poor weather, UA able to hold annual Honors Day

UA Honors Day

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) – The University of Alabama held it’s traditional “Tapping on the Mound Ceremony” on Friday.  Due to inclement weather, the event was moved inside to the school’s Moody Music Hall.  The venue was packed out with students receiving honors and their family members.

University honoraries include: Omicron Delta Kappa, Mortar Board, Blue Key National Honor Society, and Anderson Society.  The Honors Day festivities have been UA tradition since the early 1900’s.
