Pa. school stabbing suspect described as quiet and reserved

MONROEVILLE, Pa. (WIAT) — Classmates describe him as a quiet, reserved fellow. On Thursday, 16-year-old, Alex Hribal faces multiple attempted murder and assault charges for allegedly stabbing several of his classmates in Pennsylvania

Investigators say the teen walked the halls of his school armed with two kitchen knives, slashing and stabbing arms and torsos as he walked. All it took was five minutes for the sophomore to make his way through nearly two dozen people, 21 students and the school resource officer. But quick thinking by the assistant principal brought the frightening situation to an end.

A vigil was held Wednesday night to honor the injured. At least four people are in intensive care with life threatening injuries. Classes for Thursday have been cancelled
