TUSCALOOSA COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) — It was business as usual at a Tuscaloosa County church hit hard during storms last week.
Mount Olive Baptist Church sustained roof and water damage last Monday.
The church also lost the steeple off the top of the chapel.
Now that the damage has been assessed, the church is now ready to make the necessary repairs.
“We’ve had people stop by and ask us how we are doing, but we’re doing really fine,” said Stan Henson. “The Lord’s really blessed us here.”
Along with repairing the storm damage, the church is also planning on building a facility to house the children’s ministry.
The building will replace the gym which burned in October of 2013.
