MOUNDVILLE, Ala. (WIAT) — When we last caught up with the Riverbend Community in Moundville, they were anticipating that the flood waters from last week’s storms would recede towards the weekend and that they would go back to life on land.
However, with all of the rain last night and into this morning — is that still the case?
The Moundville Boat Landing is a clear sign of how much conditions have improved.
Not only has the water gone down, but the number of cars parked there on high ground has been reduced to one.
Still, along these neighborhood roads, cars and boats are prepped and ready for another bout with mother nature.
CBS42’s Leigh Garner will have more on CBS42 News at 6.
