JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) — Families living within miles of the ABC Coke plant in Tarrant will get an opportunity to voice their concerns over health issues at a Monday meeting.
The Jefferson County Department of Health is holding a public meeting that will allow those in attendance to speak.
The facility in question is owned by Drummond Coal, and their permit is up for renewal.
According to the health department, there have been no significant changes in the operations of the facility since the issuance of the last permit.
The hearing will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in conference room A at the Jefferson County Health Department.
