BESSEMER, Ala. (WIAT) — The city of Bessemer has some big plans in the works.
There are plans to build the city’s very first municipal and recreational facility, and the groundbreaking is Tuesday. The facility will be located at the former James A. Davis Middle School, between Hall Avenue and Clarendon Avenue.
The 55,000 square foot facility will feature indoor pools, a walking track, exercise rooms, athletic courts, and a splash pad.
The groundbreaking ceremony is set for Tuesday, April 15th at 1 pm.
