BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Do you ever find yourself feeling cranky toward you significant other?
It could be because you’re hungry. Researchers at Ohio State University found that married people who had low levels of blood sugar due to hunger tended to get angrier at their spouses.
They say it’s because glucose helps fuel the part of the brain that regulates self-control.
When glucose runs low, so does your patience.
Researchers say you might want to eat something first before having a difficult conversation with your spouse.
