IRONDALE, Ala. (WIAT) — Four students suspended for their part in bringing a pellet gun to school Wednesday will face expulsion Friday during a special called Jefferson County School Board meeting.

Jefferson County has a zero tolerance policy for guns under their student code of conduct policy.

An 8-year-old is accused of bringing an airsoft hand gun on the bus to trade for a tablet computer.

The four students attend Irondale Community School and are in grades three through five.
