MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WIAT) — It’s been more than a year since bingo gaming machines were seized at Victoryland in Shorter, Alabama. Sitting inside the raided machines is a hefty amount of cash.
The Attorney General’s office wants access to that money, but Luther Strange will have to wait a little longer. A non-jury trial has been delayed until June 23rd to give the defense more time to prepare.
The Victoryland trial will determine what will happen to the 1600 machines, and the quarter of million dollars, in cash still inside of them.
