Alabama gymnastics finishes fourth in Super Six; Oklahoma and Florida co-champions

Birmingham, Ala. (WIAT)-The Alabama gymnastics team finished fourth at the NCAA Championships held Saturday night at the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Center with a score of 197.550.

They took the lead after three rotations, but they fell to fourth after two uncharacteristic falls from seniors Deandra Milliner and Kim Jacob on the balance beam.

The Tide was led by senior Sarah DeMeo who closed out her last Super Six with a career-best 39.650. DeMeo and her fellow seniors will leave Alabama with two NCAA Championships, four top-four national finishes, two SEC Championships and four NCAA Regional titles.
