TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) — The city of Tuscaloosa has planned several events to celebrate the lives of those lost on April 27th and to demonstrate how the city is rebuilding stronger. Monday the city is having an open house at its new environmental services building on Kauloosa Avenue from 5:30 pm to 7 pm.
A ribbon cutting will follow Tuesday at 10 am. On Wednesday city leaders will read “Molly and the Tornado” at city elementary schools. Then Thursday, the city will debut recovery videos at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater at 6 pm.
