BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — The Continental Ballroom’s business license is up for revocation and it will go before the entire city council Tuesday.
The owners of the Continental never showed up at a public safety committee hearing Monday. They and a few other businesses were up for discussion, as council members decide if their business licenses should be revoked.
The club has been the site of a few shootings. The most recent one was at a teen party earlier this month.
Another business up for discussion is the Foxx Trap. Birmingham police have been called their because of reports of serving to minors and drugs. That business will go before the full council May 5th.
The VIP Spa will also have to stand before the city council on a recommendation that its license be revoked. An undercover operation dating back to last October resulted in two sting operations.
