GARDENDALE, Ala. (WIAT) — The Gardendale Magnolia Festival is back for its thirteenth year, complete with a carnival, car show, and top notch food vendors.
The festival will been featured on the Cooking Channel, which has Kathleen Phillips, festival coordinator, very excited, “we are very excited, they chose our festival because of our unique southern food, we have everything from pecan brittle, peanut butter cobbler, brisket nachos, of course ribs, homemade ice cream…just not your normal carnival food.”
The food and fun also goes to a good cause. This year’s local charities benefitting from the festival are the Miracle League and Just Keep Smiling. $10,000 in scholarships will also be given away.
The festival is Thursday through Saturday at the Gardendale Civic Center and Gardendale First Baptist Church.
