FORESTDALE, Ala. (WIAT) — People who are proud of their community but not proud of what it looks like right now are preparing to change that.
On Saturday, state representative Juandalynn Givan will host another cleanup effort in Forestdale.
This is video from the last event in February.
People got together to clean up garbage that’s been thrown along the side of the road.
Because of cutbacks Jefferson County has not been able to send out crews to do the work.
The next community cleanup in Forestdale will be held this Saturday, April 26.
Anyone who wants to help needs to be at Minor High School at 7:30 a.m. in the morning.
When you arrive you’ll get gloves, a t-shirt and cleaning equipment.
If you have any questions, you can call Representative Givan’s office.
The number is (205) 492-0094.
