Now, residents of the community are beaming with pride over the new library and fire station.
A concert is planned for Saturday as a part of Birmingham’s anniversary commemoration for Pratt City.
The concert is free.
The day-long commemoration runs from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
You can tour the new library, which has a storm shelter inside, and take part in various workshops.
