Saint Elias Lebanese Food and Cultural Festival
When: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. (Friday and Saturday)
Where: Saint Elias Maronite Catholic Church, 836 Eighth St. South, Birmingham.
UAB Green Registration starts at 7 am.
Episcopal Place Gumbo Gala
When: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: Sloss Furnaces, 20 32nd St. North, Birmingham.
What’s on the menu: About 40 teams will cook and serve gumbo for the professional and back yard cooks competition; guests are invited to sample the gumbo.
What else: Bluegrass music by Rollin’ in the Hay, plus arts and crafts and children’s activities.
How much: $12 in advance, $15 at the gate, free for children 12 and under.
Protective Life Food Truck Roundup
When: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: Colonial Brookwood Village in the upper park lot of Macy’s, Homewood.
How much: $20 in advance online here through 4 p.m. Friday; $25 at the gate on Saturday; free for children 10 and under. Each ticket includes four tokes redeemable for food; additional tokens will be on sale at the event.
The 31st Annual Contemporary Art Festival and award-winning Top 20 Southeast Event will transform Linn Park all weekend.
