Research shows handwritten notes are better than using a laptop

Research is showing that students who took notes by took notes by hand instead of using a computer performed better on tests.

Princeton University and UCLA research finds that if laptops are being used solely to take notes, they may be standing in the way of learning. A computer note-taking form might lead to processing less information than traditional hand-written notes. Students who used laptops to take notes performed at a lower level of conceptual questions while the students who wrote- the more handwritten notes they took, the better they performed.
