BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — The latest versions of Apple’s IOS 7 software fails to encrypt email attachments, leaving the user vulnerable to hackers.
The flaw was tested in an iPhone 4, iPhone 5S and iPad 2.
Hackers would be able to access email attachments on a locked device by plugging it into a computer and using passcode-bypassing software.
Apple is aware of the problem but there is no word on when it will be fixed.
