More women are waiting to have babies

More women are focusing on career first before starting a family.

A new report from the National Center for Health Statistics showed that the number of women delivering their first child between 40 and 44 years old has more than doubled since 1990. In 2012, there were more than nine times as many first births to women 35 and older compared to the 1970’s. The research from the past four decades showed more women are focusing on their careers before they start a family.
