Man accused of killing BPD officer appears before judge

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — The man accused of killing Birmingham Police Department officer Keary Hollis made an appearance before a judge Tuesday.

Patrick Johnson, of Ensley, appeared before a judge via closed circuit television.

The 40-year-old Johnson is charged with capital murder and is being held in the Jefferson County Jail without bond.

Police are still interested in talking with witnesses in this case.
