View from the golf cart: Touring Shoal Creek

SHELBY COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) — The good people at the Regions Tradition and Shoal Creek were brave enough to allow Parrish Alleman to drive a golf cart around the course for her live shot. What resulted was a tour of the beautiful greens, without a single injury!

It takes a lot of work to get a golf course ready for a professional tournament. Volunteers, staff, and event organizers were out well before dawn Friday morning getting the course ready for day two of the Regions Tradition.

Our WIAT 42 News morning crew toured the course this morning by golf cart as volunteers were spread out mowing, cleaning up, and preparing everything for the huge crowd expected to turn out this weekend.

Volunteers expect 30 to 40 thousand people per day to turn out over the weekend.
