Vestavia Hills, Ala. (WIAT) – It’s not uncommon for sporting teams to spend Saturday mornings in a stadium. But for BAMA Lax this day isn’t about preparing for practice or the next big game.
The boys are working hard to bag and box ten thousand meals for kids in Haiti.
It’s part of a new program in Birmingham called “Feed The Need.” The boys have raised more than $100,000 for the cause.
It’s about team work.. coming together to complete a mission… a mission of understanding that the world is a much bigger place than we think about in our day to day lives.
It’s also about perspective… not trivialize the problems here in Alabama… but open eyes to the struggles others face.
