MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) – Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley and Alabama Emergency Management Agency Director Art Faulkner are scheduled to discuss the state’s plans to prepare for hurricane season.
Bentley and Faulkner are holding a press conference Wednesday afternoon in Montgomery. Hurricane season runs from June 1 to Nov. 30. The EMA will hold a hurricane preparedness and response exercise Thursday for all state agencies.
Joining Bentley and Faulkner at the news conference will be Jim Stefkovich of the National Weather Service.
The news conference will be at the Joint Field Office at No. 1 Dexter Plaza.
