Memorial in Tuscaloosa for retired librarian murdered in 2013

TUCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) – The murder of retired University of Alabama librarian Kate Ragsdale is still unsolved. While her memory still looms large in Tuscaloosa, the Amelia Gayle Gorgas Library at the University of Alabama is creating a collection in her honor.

Ragsdale and her granddaughter shared a love for miniature books. The collection, called the Kate Ragsdale Memorial Collection, has around 100 pieces of some of the most incredible craftsmanship in literature.

The collection will be available for viewing in the main lobby of the library through May 31.
