Smoke alarms recalled for delayed response

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) – There are 440,000 smoke alarms being recalled because the alarm may not go off immediately. The device is called the Nest Protect Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarm. The high tech alarm connects to the internet.

The company is offering an electronic update to fix the problem. Nest says there have been no reports of any injuries or property damage
