Hummus Dip recalled over threat of bacteria


BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Another recall for a retail food product has been issued, this time for a hummus dip. Lansal Incorporated is pulling its hummus and dip products off the shelf because of a possible bacterial contamination.

The recall includes Target’s Archer Farms hummus products. They could be tainted with listeria which could cause serious and even fatal infections for some people. No illnesses have been reported at this time.
