BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — General Motors is once again at the center of bad news this week. More crashes are being linked to faulty ignitions in their vehicles.
The number of frontal impact crashes now tied to the problem is up to 47, which is up from the previously reported 32.
GM says 13 deaths are related to the problem. The auto maker has recalled 2.6 million cars worldwide because of the ignition switch problem.
The Justice Department is considering whether to bring criminal charges against GM for how the company handled the recall
