BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) – A local program is ready to change the way children learn in one Birmingham community. It’s called WIN, or Woodlawn Innovation Network.
It’s a partnership among Birmingham City Schools, the Woodlawn Foundation and other organizations. The program is ready to go into Woodlawn High School and its feeders schools to make some improvements to the educational model currently in place.
The program will also offer some new educational options for students. The WIN kickoff event is Sunday, June 1 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Woodlawn Foundation Office in the Social Venture Building.
Parents and students in the Woodlawn area are invited to come out and get more information about the new program.
