BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Two people were killed in a six-vehicle accident Thursday evening along I-20/59 near the Arkadelphia exit. Lt. Sean Edwards of the Birmingham Police said one car was traveling 59 Southbound when it crossed the median. Once the car crossed over it hit four other cars.
It took hours to get traffic back in order, but the scene is far from being officially cleared. After the accident, it was too dark for officers to finish their investigation. They will be returning Friday morning, and they’ll be shutting down the road when they get to work.
