BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) – Birmingham police arrested five women on prostitution charges early Friday morning at the Courtyard by Marriot at the Colonnade. Birmingham police spokesperson Lt. Scott Thurmond says the operation was conducted after complains of prostitution taking place at the hotel.
The Birmingham Police Department’s Vice Unit used the internet to set up “dates” for the operation.
Lorraine Raftery, 31, Marla Stevens, 43, Sheena Dixon, 32, Susan Otts, 38, and Tiara Atkins, 20, were arrested and charged with soliciting for prostitution.
