Birmingham City Schools offering free educational programs this summer

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — School is out, but educational opportunities are still available for students in the Birmingham area. A number of retention and promotion programs, as well as enrichment programs, are available free of cost to Birmingham City School students of all ages.

There’s a range of classes, from preparing students for the ACT and Advanced Placement, to ones designed for students who just need to play catch-up.

Some classes offer access to technology, like computers and iPads, while others go on field trips.
