Study: more than 2 portions of white bread increases obesity chances


BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) – Eating more than two portions of white bread per day increases the risk of being overweight or obese by 40 percent, according to researchers in Spain.

The researchers followed the diets of more than 9,000 people for five years.

They say there was no significant increase in weight gain among those who ate whole grain breads.
