MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) – The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is offering a reward for information in a shooting that led to the death of a bald eagle in Montgomery.

Agency spokesman Tom MacKenzie said in a statement Thursday that a total of $7,500 in reward money from several agencies is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the eagle’s death.

Officials say the bird was found with an injury to its left wing and had to be euthanized because of the complexity of the injury.
