Missing 88-year-old man returns home

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) – A missing man from Reform has returned home.

Deputies tell WIAT 42 News that 88-year-old George McAdams disappeared after leaving a Northport assisted living facility on his way to visit his daughter in McCalla.

McAdams makes the trip from his home in Reform to Northport and then to McCalla each Friday.

McAdams did make his stop in Northport and left the facility at 2:00 p.m. on Friday telling staff there he was headed to McCalla.

His daughter told deputies that she received a call from McAdams’ cell phone at 4:00 p.m. but that no-one was on the line. A second call came in at 4:20 p.m. and again there was no-one on the line.

McAdams returned to his home in Reform Saturday afternoon around 2 p.m. and contacted family members to inform them he was fine.
