CLANTON, Ala. (WIAT) — A pedestrian was struck by a train in Chilton County Monday night, according to a CSX spokesperson. The incident happened just after 10 p.m. when a local freighter from Alabama with two locomotives and 102 empty cars struck a pedestrian on the train tracks.
The condition of the pedestrian is unknown at this time. There were no injuries to the CSX crew and CSX says there is no HazMat situation.
First responders are on the scene.
