University of Alabama trustees meeting to discuss tuition increases

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) — Students at the University of Alabama may be facing yet another tuition increase. The UA board of trustees is meeting Thursday to consider an increase in tuition at schools in the system, including UAB and UAH.

Last year, the board approved a 2.7 percent increase at UA. A 6% increase was put in place for UAB, and UAH saw a 4.5 percent increase. WIAT 42 will have the latest on the 5 and 6 p.m. newscasts.
