Being financially prepared for college

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — It’s now official that students of UAB and the University of Alabama will have to pay more for their education. The board of trustees approved the rate increase on Friday.

The news is definitely not something any parent with college-bound children wants to hear. It’s important to plan ahead for the cost of education. That is why Kimberly Reynolds, a financial planner with the Welch Group stopped by Wake Up Alabama on Friday to talk about ways to help save for college, starting as early as first grade!
