Tuition hike approved for University of Alabama

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) – Students who attend UAB and the University of Alabama will have to pay more for their education starting next semester.

The Board of Trustees approved rate increases earlier Friday. The increase will impact both in-state and out-of-state students. Next year, students at UAB and the University of Alabama will have to shell out $188 more every semester.

Out-of-state students will pay nearly $500 more. Students at University of Alabama-Huntsville will pay $17 less per semester.
