BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) – It’s finally the weekend…and Father’s Day weekend at that…Happy Father’s Day! To celebrate, Antwon Ervin with Discover Birmingham has a list of some events you can take in to fill out your weekend itinerary.

Art on the Rocks: Friday 7 p.m.-11 p.m.

It’s time to celebrate! This year marks the 10th anniversary of Art On The Rocks, our summertime series featuring the best of Birmingham culture, with music, food, drinks, performances, activities, and – of course – art! Art on The Rocks began in 2005 as a way to expose visitors to the Museum’s internationally acclaimed art collection in the heart of downtown. To mark our entry into double digits and celebrate our vibrant community, we are seeking the best local talent, from artists to dancers, performers and musicians! If you are interested in participating in this milestone year, contact Carrie Montgomery. Over 2000 people come each year

Price: $10 members/$20 non-members

Relax by the Tracks: Friday

Relax by the Tracks is back for a 3rd season at Railroad Park! Join us for free music from Gabriel Tajeu and @Shaheed & DJ Supreme and fun. Food and drinks are available for purchase at George’s Boxcar Cafe. Leave work behind and Relax by the Tracks!

Barons home games begin at 7:05pm after every Relax by the Tracks event.

Sunday at Rojo: June 15 – 6 p.m. (FREE)

ETC’s monthly slot at Rojo is something no one should miss. What better way to welcome the coming week than with a cold drink, great food, and better laughs!

Caribbean Festival: Saturday 11 a.m.-8 p.m.

Celebrate the vibrant, festive spirit of the Caribbean during Caribbean American Heritage Month. There will be music, food, vendors, dancing and lots of island spirit so come early and stay late for our street dance!

Jazz in the Park

Jazz in the Park® continues this Sunday with Janita along with Kenneth Williams.  The concert will take place at Avondale Park from 6 – 9 p.m. and is FREE to the public.
