WALKER CO., Ala. (WIAT) — Walker County Superintendent Jason Adkins says nearby communities need to act quickly if they want to buy any of the three county schools that were recently closed.
Adkins says leaders in Dora and Yerkwood have teamed up to buy T.S. Boyd Elementary and Junior High School. He’s also telling people in Sipsey and Parrish they need to make an offer soon if they want to purchase the other two schools that have been closed.
If those schools are not purchased soon the district has plans to auction off both properties.
