TRUSSVILLE, Ala. (WIAT) — A missing Trussville teen who was last seen on June 24 has been found safe in Texas. Lindsay Alford, 14, was found Thursday afternoon in Baytown Harris, Texas.

Trussville Police Department spokesman Lt. Jeff Bridges says Alford is in the custody of the Department of Youth Services until her family arrives to pick her up.

Alford had last been seen Tuesday night around 5:30 along Queenstown Road where she was jogging. She was wearing black shorts and a black shirt with the word “Swag” written across it, and tennis shoes.

Bridges said Alford got in an 18-wheeler with a driver headed to Jackson, Miss. She had been telling people she was going to Houston to see her boyfriend.
