BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) – Three men were shot Thursday night in the 2300 block of 9th Court South in Birmingham.
The shootout happened around 11 p.m., according to Birmingham Police Department Lt. Sean Edwards.
He says there was a party going on and two men showed up uninvited. An argument ensued between some of the partygoers. Edwards says the man who threw the party fired three shots in the air to break up the spat, which was not something the uninvited men appreciated.
They fired back and the party host fired back at them. Edwards says two victims were struck in the leg, and another was shot in the buttocks.
None of the injuries are life-threatening. Edwards says the party host may also face charges for firing a gun into the air.
