HOOVER, Ala. (WIAT)- Hoover police are searching for a man who they believe shot his pregnant wife in an overnight domestic incident.

The Hoover Communications Center received an emergency call around 12:32 a.m. Saturday from a woman who wanted assistance from police after a physical altercation with her husband. Police say that the victim was found lying the parking lot in front of her residence unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound to her head. The victim was transported to UAB Hospital where she died. She has been identified as 29-year-old Rashon Deidrenette Bester Epps.

Police are searching for Brian Darnell Epps, 29, in connection to the shooting after a witness reported seeing him leave the scene on foot. He is being charged with capital murder. Police say Epps is still on the loose and is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who has information on his whereabouts should call 911.
